Musical Theatre Classes (Broadway Gypsy Classes) Kindergarden & up
Musical
Theatre Classes offer instruction in the three areas of performance:
Acting, Voice and Movement. Students are offered basic vocal training
that includes proper breath support, vowel placement, tone production
and microphone technique. Basic dance steps and styles will be taught
as well as acting skills to give the student the opportunity to develop
skills through improvisation, character development and scene study.
These skills help the student in building self-esteem and confidence as
they prepare for solo and ensemble work for the recital during the
second half of the year. Listed age levels are only a guideline as the
faculty reserves the option to move a student depending on ability
& experience.
Musical Theatre Teen Production Class
Musical Theatre Teen Production Class
A
specialized Broadway musical production will be designed for
performance at The Paris Cabaret. This course is open to all Teen
Academy students by audition or permission from the director.
* Class extends ½ hour in time after February vacation and extra nights during production week for May’s presentation.
Intermediate Musical Theatre Production (Ages 10-14)
This class will give our students another opportunity of performing and to further experience the process of putting together a musical production using all aspects of voice, dance and acting techniques. Students must be enrolled in another Academy class in order to join. Students may audition for this class or enroll with permission from the director. This class will start rehearsing for production immediately. If you are interested in this class please ask the director for more information.
* Extra rehearsals will be added leading up to the production in January
Piano and Voice Lessons
Private Instruction for Piano offered Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Voice Instruction offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Percussion offered on Tuesdays
Call for time availability
