Alexander Morollo, a pianist since the age of six, currently performs regularly locally and regionally including performances at piano festivals, masterclasses, and competitions, both as a solo recitalist, and chamber musician. His training began under pianist and composer Dianne Rahbee. Other piano teachers include Phyllis Lehrer and Galina Gertsenzen, along with masterclasses with Dianne Anderson,
Ena Barton, James Goldswerthy, Eda Shylam, Andrius Zlabys, and Mykola Suk.
Mr. Morollo has competed in the New England Piano Teachers Piano Competition, won the Catherine Dower-Gold Performing Arts Award and the First Prize in the Young Artists Piano Competition of Western Massachusetts and Connecticut in the highest division.
An avid teacher, Mr. Morollo maintains his faculty position here at Starline. He believes in the education of music and enjoys teaching in the studio environment.
He currently holds placement at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge Massachusetts in pursuit of an Undergraduate Piano Performance Diploma, studying with pianist Hugh Hinton.
